Jefferson Parish Medical Society is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our 2019 Medical Student Scholarship.  Since 1979, JPMS has presented scholarships to medical students who have shown leadership and an interest in organized medicine.

This opportunity is open to medical students currently enrolled at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans and Ochsner UQ program in New Orleans, Louisiana. Students may apply for the $2,000 scholarship by sending a brief email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by December 31, 2019. The email should summarize one’s leadership activities and explain one’s interest in organized medicine.  Emails must include a phone number for the applicant.

The JPMS Board will select the recipient of the scholarship and the award will be presented at the JPMS Annual Installation Dinner on the evening of Saturday, March, 14, 2020 in New Orleans (venue TBA.)
